Cruyff: Clasico confirmed that Jose Mourinho doesn’t care about good football

Former Barcelona star not impressed with Real Madrid tactician and voiced his opinion that Saturday’s Clasico confirmed that Mourinho is a negative coach.

Johan Cruyff has looked back at Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Real Madrid and was not impressed with the tactics employed by Jose Mourinho, branding the Portuguese a “negative coach”.
“It’s a huge compliment for Barcelona when Real Madrid start the match at Santiago Bernabeu with seven defenders. This game confirmed that Jose Mourinho is a negative coach. He only cares about the result and doesn’t care much for good football,” said Cruyff to De Telegraaf.
“Obviously, he had to come up with something ahead of four big games against Barcelona. A big loss would have been a huge blow ahead of the Copa del Rey final and Champions League tie. Nevertheless, his decision to play seven defenders and three attackers was kind of extreme.”
Cruyff then went on to underline the different football philosophies both clubs have when it comes to giving youngsters a chance.
The Dutchman continued: “It was also remarkable to see that Barcelona played with eight players who came through the ranks of the club’s youth academy, while Madrid fielded only one youth academy product. The different football philosophies of both clubs were very clear to see.”
Barcelona and Real Madrid again lock horns in the final of the Copa del Rey at the Mestalla this Wednesday.

Dani Alves:One day Pep Guardiola will leave Barcelona

Brazilian full-back admits that Catalan coach will leave the Spanish champions at one point in the future but hopes to make the most of boss’ presence until then.

Alves has suggested that coach Pep Guardiola will leave the club at some point in the future.
Guardiola recently suggested that he would part company with the Catalan club at the end of the 2011-12 season when his contract expires, telling Rai that he thinks his “time is ending here in Barcelona.”
Now Alves, who has been an integral part of the team since the 40-year-old took over the coaching responsibilities in 2008-09, admits that the Catalan will leave at some point.
“We follow him with our eyes shut,” said the 27-year-old in an interview with Spanish daily El Mundo. “He is very intelligent, he always knows what he is doing. To not follow Guardiola would be foolish. Since we are not foolish we will follow him until he gets tired of us.
“Everyone has their cycle and one day his will come to an end. We hope his cycle will last for a very long time because we can’t imagine Barca without Guardiola.”
Guardiola has won eight trophies in his career as a Barcelona coach and could add three more to that tally this season should he win the Primera Division, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

Adriano, 4 weeks off

Barcelona left-back, Adriano Correia, will be sidelined for four weeks by a torn adductor muscle in his right thigh, as reported by the Catalan club.
The Brazilian was injured in the match of Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid and will miss the upcoming league and Champions League commitments of the League champions.

Frank De Boer: “Guardiola was my inspiration”

The current Ajax coach talks about Cruyff, Van Gaal and his former teammate Pep in an interview with Don Balon.
Frank de Boer, Josep Guardiola’s former teammate at FC Barcelona acknowledged having “followed the careerof Pep carefully. First because it is a great guy, and then to see how a coach could espabilar inexperienced at the highest level “and it was not bad decided to imitate him:” I wondered if I could do the same as him but at Ajax. So I accepted the proposal of Ajax as Guardiola said yes to Barca. ”
In addition, De Boer has been applied to the same standards Ajax total football was done in the Catalan club and that once out of their own “school Ajax ‘Cruyff’s hand:” Most of the staff has been formed following the principles of Ajax, and what I want is that it is expressed in the first team. ” Just over former Barca coach and his strained relationship with Van Gaal, the Dutch coach admits to having a divided heart in an interview with Don Balon : “It is unfortunate that Johan and Louis give so much cane. Indeed, in my opinion the two are closer than you think, both are committed to attacking football, love the Ajax and are … stubborn. ”
‘Scouting’ for Barca
Connections in schools and clubs do not stop yet. Christian Eriksen is the new pearl of the Ajax squad for Mr. “Using it well and is one of the best players currently in the Netherlands, and I see him playing well at the club” yes, fair play because as he says “But before we still want to enjoy their football for some time.”

Pep Guardiola: Winning La Liga matters more than any other title

Pep Guardiola has claimed that winning La Liga matters more than any other trophy as he attempts to get back to winning ways against Osasuna on Saturday.
The Catalans were dealt a blow in midweek when they lost the Copa del Rey final to Real Madrid although Guardiola believes a La Liga title win would be the most important title win.
“La Liga is the title which shows more than any other and we want to win this,” he told the press.
“If we are eight points from Madrid then it’s because we have earned it. Winning La Liga shows that you are a team.”
Saturday’s opponents Osasuna are struggling in the table, just two points above the drop zone in Spain although Guardiola is wary his team cannot take anything for granted.
“Every game won is a massive step to win La Liga. The games we have are against teams who are in the danger zone and so they are hard. It was against Almeria last week, and it will be again tomorrow,” he added.
“I am thinking of winning our game against Osasuna. And so we will go to the next game to try to make a big step so we can progress in La Liga.”
The Barca boss was asked whether he had any pre-Champions League semi-final policies in mind ahead of Wednesday’s first leg in Madrid but he was reluctant to give that game priority prior to Osasuna.
“From Tuesday, I will be thinking of tactics for the semi-final. For now I am thinking of Osasuna,” he concluded

Andres Iniesta has had a UEFA ban overturned.
Iniesta is free to play in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid after escaping punishment from UEFA for allegedly getting deliberately booked.
Iniesta was cautioned in the first leg of Barca’s quarter-final against Shakhtar Donetsk and that meant he was suspended for the return meeting in Ukraine.
A further ban would have seen the Spain star miss the Bernabeu encounter between the teams next Wednesday.
However, Barca revealed on www.fcbarcelona.cat this afternoon: “UEFA has announced that it will not be suspending the midfielder.
“FC Barcelona appealed to the governing body of European football against the proposal to ban the player for an additional match as a result of the yellow card shown in the quarter-final of the Champions League against Shakhtar on April 6.
“Iniesta will therefore be able to play in the Champions League semi-final againstReal Madrid at the Bernabeu. UEFA have also announced that he will not face any financial penalty.”
